St. Mary Virgin Fairford

Were we are

Fairford was once an important coaching town on the old London to Gloucester route. The town lies in the Cotswold hills on a lovely stretch of the River Coln and is located 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Cirencester, 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Lechlade and 9 miles (14 km) north of Swindon. Nearby are RAF Fairford and the Cotswold Water Park.
The town is famous for its parish church, St Mary’s, a fine ‘wool church’ with a complete set of 28 medieval stained glass windows that tell the story of the Bible. A traditional market is held every Wednesday and hosts a continental market twice a year; the first Friday of December is dedicated to the Christmas market. Fairford is probably most famous for being the home of RAF Fairford, where the annual Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is staged.

Enjoy Your Meal At Our Restaurant

Our Restaurant

The Colosseo is one of the most iconic Italian monuments and is therefore the ideal name for a restaurant that wants to bring Italian food culture to the UK.

The restaurant is located in an ancient stone building with a slate roof located on the main road of Fairford, the one that was once used to go from London to Gloucester, a short distance from Market Place, the center of the town, where it is possible to find parking.

Colosseo

We offer you 70 seats in three welcoming rooms; on cold evenings a crackling fireplace creates an intimate and warm atmosphere.

Our staff is at your disposal to serve you our dishes, made with care and great attention to raw materials.

Uber Eats delivers our takeaway food to your home if you want to enjoy it comfortably at home (for home delivery, see the Uber Eats conditions).

Excellence Of Tastes

When a dish is created, before presenting it to customers, it must be seen and reviewed, it must be tasted, and not just by the Chef. If there are errors, they must be corrected, only after being 100% certain that the dish goes to the customer’s table.

The work of a chef requires love and passion, and above all patience, the only virtue that with time, the passing of years and experience, ensures that the desired results arrive.
